Panda is a former neighborhood stray turned inside-living softy looking for a kind-hearted human to become his best friend. Don't let his burly build fool you-he might have the biceps of Vin Diesel, but this beautiful boy loves smelling flowers and snuggling up in a soft blanket. For someone who was born to the streets, Panda really has taken to indoor life. He is social, curious, affectionate, and funny-and he sleeps belly-up way more than you'd think a former street-cat would. He loves chasing his mouse toys, rolling around in catnip, meeting new people, and scritches on his big cheeks. He is strong and spirited, but he's a gentle soul who is looking for a loving home-one that he'll reward with endless affection and steadfast companionship. He knows his name (and will talk to you) and he deserves to know a lifetime of love. Panda has experience with (and tolerates) small dogs but would do best as a solo cat (though he does have a crush on our Calico). This cat has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans.
