Ginger is a remarkable cat. She is especially sweet, friendly (she will approach and greet your friends,) affectionate, curious yet calm, playful (she loves string toys and balls,) and very, very smart. Ginger gets along well with other cats and likes having other cats to play with. She does amusing things like putting her right front paw in the food bowl to scoop a clump of pate' cat food, and then she feeds herself. Her paw is her fork! When Ginger Rogers danced with Fred Astaire decades ago, he got most of the praise. But there were those people who were quick to remind us that Ginger Rogers did every step Fred Astaire did but she did it backwards and in 6 heels. Well, this Ginger is also a talented dancer. She gets up on her hind legs, walks a step or two forwards or backwards, and then puts her paws on whichever part of you she can reach. She wants to be picked up, hugged, and smooched! Anyone lucky enough to make Ginger part of his or her family will be blessed with a loving and devoted companion. To Ginger, there is nothing better than following you from room to room -- unless, of course, she can share (as in walk or lie down on )whatever paper you are attempting to read at your desk, at a table, or on the bed. (I told you she is smart!) She loves sleeping near her family, i.e. sharing your bed or a nearby chair where she can see you. Occasionally, Ginger will even engage you in a good conversation, especially if it's time to eat or get some attention and petting. She always uses the litter box, she grooms herself frequently, and scratches the legs of the cat condo instead of your furniture.
