Meet June Bug! Originally trapped as part of a TNR project, June Bug had other plans. As soon as he discovered the comforts of indoor life, he made it pretty clear that he thought he belonged inside. And we're very glad he made that decision! June Bug is a wonderfully quirky, chatty boy who always seems to have something to say. His ears and expressive little face give away everything he’s thinking, and his occasional smirk makes it difficult not to wonder what joke he’s in on that you’re not a part of. He loves a good back-and-forth “conversation” and has a whole range of meows to communicate his endless opinions. Mostly, he wants to know what you are up to and if he can observe. Or, he wants a snack! He is a serious treat enthusiast who would prefer if mealtime came once an hour instead of twice a day. Hand him a treat, and you will have his heart forever! When it comes to petting, June Bug is still learning what he likes. He’s not currently a “pick me up and cuddle me” kind of guy, and prefers to have some space to decide when he wants physical interaction. What he does value is simply hanging out. As long as he's part of the household, June Bug is content. He especially enjoys chilling near other cats, and gets very excited to offer them his famous meows, or to roll around with them on the floor in a pile of catnip. June Bug’s ideal home is one with people who appreciate an independent cat with a big personality, give him time and space to settle in and discover what he likes, and maybe have other cats for him to befriend.
