Maxwell was found on the street in really bad shape. He was taken to the vet immediately and was given life saving medical attention. Max was starving to death and couldn't eat because of severe mouth and throat ulcers. He was diagnosed with a very serious upper respiratory illness, calicivirus and stomatitis so bad that he needed all of his teeth extracted. Once he healed from his surgery and began eating again, Max began to put on weight and he is now very healthy and no longer shows any signs of infection, virus or any other illness. He has undergone an incredible transformation from being just days away from death, to a healthy, vigorous, playful, curious and loving boy! He is extremely affectionate and loves to snuggle, rub up against his humans, and sit next to you wherever you are. He loves the company of people, but isn't crazy about other animals, so it would be best if he were the only pet. He is very loving and playful and is also sweet and patient with children. Max also tested positive for FIV, but given a safe indoor only home and a high quality diet, he should live a long, healthy life, just like any other cats.
