Mouse is a shy young boy who prefers to keep to himself, especially in new environments. He spends a good amount of time hiding and will need a home that understands he may take a while to feel comfortable. Patience will be key with him. While he isn’t quick to approach people, once you’re able to pick him up and pet him, he starts purring and relaxes into the attention. He’s not aggressive—just unsure—and he does show that he enjoys affection in his own quiet way. Mouse likes batting around ball toys, but he really thrives when he has other young male cats to wrestle and play with. A confident feline companion would likely help him continue to build confidence. He’s looking for a calm, patient adopter who will give him the time and space he needs to adjust. He may never be a lap cat, but for someone willing to meet him where he is, Mouse has the potential to be a rewarding and loyal companion.
