Sammy is a sweet and sensitive little Panther with the brave heart of a warrior! She has been through so much in her small life. She grew up outside as a friendly backyard cat and was fixed after having a huge litter of kittens. In January '25, she lost her home, neighborhood and everything she knew to the Altadena Fire. After her family’s house was destroyed, Sammy spent several months fighting for her life in the burn-zone. Thankfully, she was rescued, but sadly her family could no longer keep her and signed her over to the rescuers who saved her life. Now, Sammy needs a true forever home where she can retire indoors, away from harm and turmoil. She is gentle, calm, and likes to just sit and bird watch. Warm sunny windows and a soft bed is all that she asks. Sammy would prefer a home not too many cats/energy and would not be a good match for dogs or kids. Once she gets to know you and has a chance to build routine, she can be chatty and chipper—but after all she has been through, it will take her a while to find herself again.
