Meet Charlie, a handsome independent cat looking for the right person to call his own. Charlie enjoys having his own space and is happiest spending his days lounging nearby, watching the world go by, and keeping you quiet company on his own terms. While he can be friendly and affectionate, he prefers interactions to be respectful of his boundaries and isn't the type of cat who wants constant attention. Charlie has a history of becoming overstimulated, which has led to episodes of very hard redirected biting. He is currently taking medication that appears to have significantly improved this behavior, but we cannot guarantee that the issue has been completely resolved. Because of this, Charlie is looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands feline body language, recognizes when a cat needs space, and is committed to helping him continue to succeed. Charlie would do best as the only pet in the home. He does not enjoy the company of other cats or other animals and will be happiest in a calm environment where he doesn't have to share his space.
