17 Apr We did it! We hit our Marathon goal!
We had an incredible time running the LA Marathon this year, and we hit our marathon goal! We had the most successful marathon fundraiser in Kitten Rescue history. Our amazing runners ran in the LA Big 5k, Charity Challenge (half marathon), and full 26.2 mile marathon, all while advocating on behalf of animals in need. We owe a big thanks to all of the incredible volunteers who helped make this day possible. Volunteers helped with preparing our team in the Dodger Suite, transporting our gear bags, handing out over 5,000 cups of Gatorade at our cheer stations, and documenting our team crossing the finish line.
We also want to extend a huge thank you to all the incredible donors who helped us reach our monumental $100,000 marathon goal! This is significantly more than we’ve ever been able to raise in the past, and it’s going to have an amazing impact that will be felt in all areas of Kitten Rescue. These funds will be used to help care for injured cats, help us provide needed medical care to senior cats, and allow us to continue rescuing more neonatal kittens than ever before. We c0annot express how grateful we are to every single person who gave, and to our runners who did everything they could to fundraise, working so hard to ensure we reached our goal.
