IT TAKES A VILLAGE

Kitten Rescue is an all-volunteer organization that depends on the hard work of its volunteers. We are able to rescue and adopt out over a thousand cats and kittens every year thanks to our dedicated volunteers! Most of our rescued cats and kittens live in foster volunteers’ homes, and more foster homes are always needed. There are also plenty of ways beyond fostering that you can volunteer with us, get involved and make a difference in the life of homeless animals.

Cats may have four paws, but they can always use a helping hand! Even if you only have an hour a week to spare… that’s okay, because we always are happy to have the help.

  • General Volunteering

Kitten Rescue couldn't survive without the help of our volunteers! We have a wide variety of opportunities for you to get involved and contribute. We are always looking for help at the KR Sanctuary (animal care and other tasks), at our various pet store enclosures, with transportation, at special events, with fundraising, and for many other projects. • Fostering

Fostering means you get to help a cat or kitten in need, all in the comforts of your own home. You don't have to have fostering experience, or even cat-care experience. We give you training, guidance and moral support! The length of time is up to you. Whether you can care for bottle babies, kittens, one cat or many, we would love to have you as a foster! • Community Foster Program

Do you need to find a home for a cat or kitten? This program is for you! It gives you access to discount veterinary care, low- or no-cost medications, and it lets you use our adoption infrastructure to find homes for the cats or kittens you have. There’s no commitment to volunteer with us, and you are still free to place your cats independently. (Click image to learn more.)
