Meet Rusty - a very special guy with a calm, gentle soul and a story of resilience. This handsome buff ginger boy, with a snowy white underside, has the softest fur and an even softer personality. Rusty is the definition of chill. He’s sweet, affectionate, and incredibly companionable, always happy to greet visitors at the door with a quiet charm. He has a soft, gentle play style and a peaceful presence that makes him a joy to have around. Rusty came to his foster home as a skinny, sick kitty, but thanks to time, care, and his own strong spirit, he’s now healthy and thriving. He does require two daily medications (which he reminds his humans to give him) to maintain his wellness, but he takes them easily with a dab of Churu and a little love. He’ll need experienced adopters who are comfortable administering daily meds and keeping a close eye on his health - but the reward is an endlessly sweet, grateful companion. Rusty would do well as an only cat in a home where there would be lots of human companionship and activity. While we don’t think that Rusty would be able to adjust to a new adult companion cat, Rusty gets along well with his gentle foster sister Fanta (KRLA-A-7745). He also loves to wrestle with his tiny foster brother Sugar Plum (KRLA-A-87471), then watch placidly while Sugar Plum wears himself out chasing a toy.
