Pumpkin is a VERY sweet and playful young cat who had to learn to be on his own at an early age when he was abandoned on the street for a number of months. Every day he shows more of his adorable personality. He seeks human companionship and greets you at the door. He just recently discovered laps, and is now an official “lap cat”. He would very much enjoy the companionship of another playful cat or dog, but he is also very capable of amusing himself. Pumpkin will flop onto his side when you speak to him, and roll over and play, and he’ll even reach out a paw to touch your hand. He is VERY treat-motivated, and he absolutely adores his wire wand toy! He’s perfect with his litter box, and he uses his scratching post instead of the couch. Pumpkin does still easily startle when someone stands or walk towards him quickly, but he catches himself within seconds and you can almost see him working it out in his head that he no longer needs to be afraid. His confidence is growing daily. He accepts strangers without extra concern, and would really thrive in a calm home with another pet to play with. He is truly a special little boy. Adorable. Loving.
