Yam is a soft-hearted little sweetheart with a shy streak and the gentlest soul. She may be a bit skittish at first, especially in new environments, but there’s a loving, affectionate girl just waiting to feel safe. Yam isn’t aggressive at all. She simply needs a quiet, patient human who understands that trust takes a moment. Once she realizes you’re offering kindness and not chaos, she happily melts into your affection. If you’re gentle, calm, and respectful of her space, she’ll warm up beautifully. And when she does, she loves being loved. Yam enjoys being carried around and petted, and her signature move is adorably slamming her little face into yours while you’re holding her. She’s also playful! Wand toys are her absolute favorite, but she is also content with jingly balls, tunnels, and catnip kickers. When she’s feeling cozy, you’ll often find her cuddling or playing with her brother, Ham (KRLA-A-87417). These two share a special bond and will need to be adopted together. They’ve been spotted snuggled together in cat towers and beds, perfectly content in each other’s company. Because of her sensitive nature, Yam will do best staying with Ham, who helps her feel confident and secure. Yam is looking for a calm home that will give her the time she needs to settle in.
