Missy is the smartest, chillest, silliest lady with stunning green eyes and a gorgeous mix of tabby and calico coloring. She’s extremely social – constantly purring, rubbing up against your legs, and adorably talkative with little trills and chirps when she wants your attention. She warms up quickly with strangers and once she knows you, she’ll follow you around like a sweet shadow. She isn’t a full-time lap kitty from jump but when she bonds, you’re in for life. Missy is very active between guard duty shifts (she’s obsessed with looking out windows) and long cat naps in the sun. She happily plays by herself (is unhealthily addicted to small catnip toys and little birds that squeak), or she’ll chase your cat charmer, wand, or laser pointer. When she’s tuckered out and at night, she’ll snooze draped over your leg or curled up at your hip. She’s extremely trusting. Will let you trim her nails, clean her eyes, and aggressively rub her belly without issue. With access to a scratching post, she leaves furniture alone. She respects quiet hours and lets you sleep through the night before waking with you to face the day. Frankly, she’s freakishly well-behaved and should be studied. Due to a brief stint on the streets where she had to fend for herself - all 9 scrappy pounds of her - Missy is guarded around other adult cats. She’d like to be a solo kitty or could be paired with a young kitten where she can set the tone and become acclimated. She’s curious and gentle with <8-week foster kittens and once she’s used to the cats doesn’t get poofed or hissy.
