Vaquita is a sweet young cat who adores her humans and is extremely affectionate. She enjoys playing and leaping around with her toys, and when the playing is done, she loves to sleep with her two-legged family and purr them to sleep. She's gets along very well with other cats and enjoys chasing around and frolicking with them. She also likes watching the birds out the window for a little extra excitement. Vaquita was rescued from the streets of South Central Los Angeles, and she must have had a very rough time surviving out there, because when we found her she had a bad mouth infection. The vet removed all of her teeth, which resolved the problem, and now she has to eat only wet food, or dry food soaked in water, but she's doing fine with that. We're very happy that her mouth has healed, and that she's adjusted to her new diet and is thriving, because this little girl is simply a wonderful kitty and is so incredibly cuddly and affectionate -- truly a gem.
