Augustus was found schmoozing construction workers for scraps at a local taco truck. Rescuers first confused this guy for a scrawny Muppet that took a wrong turn from Sesame Street. He had previously been a TNR (noting his familiar eartip, and confirmation he had already been neutered) This brown tabby man would soon reveal himself as a quirky, grumpy-but-loveable couch potato. With a floofy, princely mane combined with the gaze of an underfed, sorrowful Victorian child- Augustus, or Auggie as he's sometimes known, does not want your kisses. He does not want endless affection or to be carried around from room to room, he does however, want to be under your feet, wherever you happen to be, scratches under his chin, and a few pets. You will get a quick nip if you take the affection too far. Auggie really wants chicken, and will use that naturally sad look to plead for it. For the sake of his waist, these requests are (mostly) denied. To his utter dismay. As he has peculiar quirks. For one, he has a distinct distaste for plastic bags on the floor. He will make certain you know he wants it picked up and cleaned. Kittens can be tolerated, but children of the human variety are much too loud and fast-moving. Big male cats or dogs that might be rude to him? No, thank you. He likes pets but only in a certain quantity and of quality. Bad pets will get a head swerve and a glare that implies the guillotine. When he decides you are befitting of his love, he shows it in the quiet. He wants to lay and sit by you. You'll find he follows from room to room.
