Sylvester

Sylvester is one of a litter of five kittens we fostered since they were around 10 days old. Three siblings have already been adopted.  We called him Sylvester because he would make sounds like a small bird.  (He doesn’t anymore).  We were joking that he might have swallowed Tweety Bird so Sylvester was the natural name for him. He is developing into a muscular and substantial kitty.

 

He loves playing with his sister, Pichon, but he will sometimes peel himself away from the action and just observe thoughtfully.  His gaze is intense.  If you look at him directly he will never avert his eyes and look at you intently and deeply.  You get the feeling that he really “sees” you.

 

Sylvester is a curious cat.  He was always the first to discover rooms and toys and he was the first to learn to use the litter box.  He is definitely a climber and, like his sister, loves a high perch. He knows his name and responds to it if he feels like it. But he can’t resist a fishing rod toy so it’s easy to get his attention when you want it.

 

He also loves chasing spirals, pingpong balls and other toys. If it moves, he is engaged and if it squeaks, all the better.  He is also an enthusiastic jumper. He is the more reticent of the two siblings but he is used to having other kittens and people around so he is well socialized and willingly shares toys, food, beds, nestling baskets, litter boxes and people.

 

All five kittens were extremely close but since their siblings were adopted, Sylvester and Pichon have become inseparable.  They are endlessly curious, high-energy kittens happily at play with each other every waking moment. They are compatible, interactive, and treat each other well in every regard. There is no doubt that they are bonded to one another and so they are only available to be adopted together.

 

We love funny, intense green-eyed Sylvester and we know that you will love him, too.
