Milo

Meet Milo, the charming former tomcat whose life took a positive turn thanks to a caring intervention. Milo is an orange tabby with white markings and mittens, complete with thumbs! He’s adorable and unique, with his bobcat-like tail, thick cheeks, and polydactyl paws adorned with extra toe beans on all feet. His journey to a loving home wasn’t easy; his former guardian neglected him, leaving him outdoors without essential care like food and water.

Fortunately, a compassionate neighbor stepped in providing Milo with much-needed sustenance. However, his outdoor adventures led to contracting FIV, likely from skirmishes with other unneutered males. FIV-positive cats like Milo can live happily with non-FIV cats as long as they share a harmonious bond, and FIV transmission typically requires a substantial blood-drawing confrontation, which Milo now avoids.

Milo’s tale took a turn for the better when the neighbor raised awareness online about his deteriorating health due to neglect. Upon rescue, Milo received the veterinary care he needed, gradually recovering from his ordeal.

Now, Milo thrives in his indoor haven. He appreciates his solitude, but is unphased when meeting other cats and seems quite mild mannered. Milo is still adjusting to the indoor lifestyle, such as letting you know that he is not too fond of being petted on his bobcat-like tail with a gentle paw. He adores head and chin pets, enjoys snuggling in bed with his human companions, and finds comfort in resting his head on their legs. Milo hasn’t shown much interest in playing with toys or wands, but he is curious about his new environment as well as the world outside the windows. He has rapidly grown comfortable with his new surroundings and lifestyle, and will be a fantastic addition to a lucky home.
