Bonjour

Bonjour is a real man-cat with a sweet disposition. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. He was loved by the people who were feeding him and they begged his foster mom to enlist him with Kitten Rescue in search of a life in a warm loving home and off the streets of Compton.

Bonjour came to us suffering from manage, a scratch on his face, un-neutered (stinky), and an eye infection. We gave him a safe, quiet place to land and over time, made him into the handsome hunk of man cat that he is today! That said, he is very shy and timid. So we’re looking for a quiet home where he can relax and blossom. He loves to be rubbed under his chin and he comes out for leg rubs. He isn’t bothered by other cats.

Unfortunately, Bonjour tested positive for FIV: https://kittenrescue.org/2017/03/what-is-fiv/. Given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissible to humans. Click here for a basic FAQ about FIV. If you’d like to read a much more detailed and comprehensive FAQ about FIV, we recommend this site.

Bonjour is a great cat, who deserves to be loved. This is truly a case for someone who wants to rescue a cat in need and has the love and space to allow him to blossom.
