Charlie

Special Needs? – Regular medication to treat stomatitis

Meet Charlie! He will bring some life and laughs into your home. He is partially deaf which makes him squawk rather than meow. His deafness also makes him not scare easily; loud sounds, vacuuming, screaming kids are no problem for Charlie! He is great with kids and will allow them to pick him up and loves to be pet by them once he warms up a bit. Food is the key to his heart. He is a voracious eater and will fall in love with anyone that feeds him. He loves to be around people and will happily snuggle with you on the couch anytime he is invited. We invented a few kitty sign language commands that he understands and will respond to. Charlie will make a great companion if you want to liven up a quiet house or would make a great addition to a busy household with kids and chaos. Charlie should, however, be the only cat in the home.

Charlie has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) and stomatitis, but his health is stable and has been easy to treat. He takes a small pill every other day and that has kept him healthy and happy. FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissible to humans.

IS ALSO:
Spayed/Neutered - Vaccinated - Dewormed - Treated for Fleas
Tested for FeLV and FIV (cats and kittens only) - Microchipped

PLEASE NOTE:
Kitten Rescue is located in Los Angeles, CA and we only adopt animals to homes in the greater Los Angeles area.
