Special Needs – three legs, FIV+

Hey there, folks! Ted Lasso here, ready to share my incredible journey with you. I started off as a stray cat with a seriously injured leg. It was in such bad shape that the vet had to make the tough call to amputate it. But let me tell you, that didn’t stop me one bit! I’m a resilient guy with a heart full of love. I get along famously with other cats, and I absolutely adore people. Can you believe it? The person who trapped me actually wanted me euthanized instead of treating my leg. But thank goodness for Kitten Rescue! They swooped in and saved the day. They paid for my surgery and took me under their care in a foster home.

Now, I’m looking for my forever home, where I can share my endless affection and zest for life. Losing a leg hasn’t slowed me down one bit. I’m still as playful and joyful as ever! I’m ready to be the best companion you’ve ever had, filling your days with love, laughter, and purrs.

One more thing you might want to knwo about me is that I tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). I am told that FIV is not a big deal and that given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans.
