Stella and her siblings, Guinness and Peroni, were found as babies not far from CSUN. Stella loves to explore and play with other kitties, so would need a home with another animal (or even better, with one of her siblings) to be a playmate.
Stella did initially test positive for FIV, but don’t let that scare you away from this sweet girl. Even if her initial test is a true positive, she’s really no different than any other kitty.
She lives with other cats and gets along well with them so she could be adopted into a home with other cats or as a single. Stella may be FIV positive from her time on the street. Cats with FIV+ often get passed over because people feel worried about the diagnosis. However, given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat and it requires direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissible to humans. Stella would make your life complete…give this girl a chance!
