Selene
Special Needs – When rescued, Selene suffered from a rectal prolapse. She had a successful colopexy surgery to fix the issue. She recovered well and is healthy but she will occasionally have a small rectal prolapse. It always goes back in on its own. The vet said this might continue for a while. It’s just something to be cautious of. She has had many checkups and is doing well.
A KR volunteer rescued Selene after seeing that she needed some medical attention. Selene had a rectal prolapse that was treated with a colopexy surgery. She was a trooper handling the procedures and medication. With everything she’s been through Selene is a cautious girl but is gradually learning to trust and let loose more and more each day.
Selene is very curious, playful, and energetic and will undoubtedly entertain you with her zoomies just as she entertains herself with any toy or by exploring her surroundings. She loves to climb, run, and watch the birds through the window. She rubs up on your legs when she wants some love and is especially sweet when she wants a bite to eat. She responds to your calls with a sweet little meow to show you that she’s listening but is the most vocal when she is hungry. She lets you know just how hungry she is and how much she appreciates you with loud meows and head bumps. Selene isn’t the cuddliest girl right now but she is still warming up to people and definitely has the potential to be a cuddle bug in the future! She likes to be petted on her terms and likes to follow her humans around because she likes to stay nearby and observe. Right now, she is a cat’s cat and loves playing and spending time with other friendly kitties, big or small. Selene is a sweet friendly girl and would love to find her forever home!
