Ozzy

Ozzy is, without question, the weirdest cat you could ever meet. It’s like he is on a completely different wavelength. If you are looking for a traditional affectionate feline companion who will sit on your lap or next to you and purr while you’re watching Netflix, then this isn’t the right guy for you. But if you want an incredibly playful, chirpy oddball with the most unique personality you’ve ever met, then read on!

Probably the best way to describe him is that he is the ultimate egalitarian – he doesn’t treat people any different than he treats other animals, at least cats and dogs. In fact, one of his signature moves is he’ll be wrestling with one of his buddies, then turn around and try to wrestle with you, leaping up to double swat your leg. Living with him requires having quick reflexes and a high tolerance for a cat coming from nowhere and playfully biting your leg or smacking your face.

He does that to the other pets in the house too, which is why he should go to a home with at least one younger cat who can put up with these shenanigans. In his current foster home, there are two cats like this, Pitstop and Colin Robinson. He also does well with the two dogs he shares a home with, though his smack-you-in-the-face, bite-your-legs routine might not be well received by an older or less outgoing dog. He is also fantastic with young kittens, showing a surprisingly gentle side to his personality as he grooms and comforts them.

The most endearing thing about Ozzy is his constant chirping. When he is in a playful mood, which is quite often, he prances around uttering these trilly chirps. It will make you laugh every time. A close second is his cross eyes.

Ozzy is clearly not a cat for everyone, but if you can handle all of his weirdness, you will be blessed with a one-of-a-kind cat who you will never forget, and who will provide endless amounts of entertainment.
