Olive

Olive had a very unfortunate start in life … she was found on the shoulder of the 10 freeway but luckily for her a good Samaritan scooped her up and rescued her.  She took Olive to a vet to get checked over and miraculously Olive only had a few cuts and scrapes, but she was naturally completely terrified.  We took Olive into our rescue so she could recover and become more socialized.  It took a while for Olive to come around, but after many months of careful and steady attention by the nursery staff, she has blossomed into a relaxed and loving cat to all humans.

Olive is still a little reserved and shy and would do best in a quiet home with some kitty friends and a patient human who will let her be sociable on her terms.   She is currently in a foster home with her friend and partner in crime, Mojo Jojo.   Olive gets a lot of her confidence from the other cats in the home, and will come running over when they are getting pets or snuggling on their foster mom’s bed.   When her foster brothers are sleeping, she will also come to her foster mom for some one on one attention and loves to sit on her laptop and help her “Work”.   She has the softest fur and a cute little chirpy meow.  Olive loves other cats – especially boy cats and can often be found playing, grooming and snuggling next to the resident cats.  If nobody else is around she is happy to play by herself and loves to bat around crinkly balls and spring toys.  She loves dry food and has excellent litter box manners.

When Olive isn’t monitoring the birds and squirrels from the living room, she can be found curled up in a scratcher box or high in a cat tree getting her beauty rest.  Olive has a lot of love to give but just needs time to develop trust with her humans.
