Monet is a very special kitten looking for a very special forever home. Monet is a cute short-haired tabby kitten with beautiful swirl patterns on her sides. She is also blind. When Monet was a tiny baby kitten, she had a bad eye infection that caused her eyes to rupture and sadly they needed to be removed.
Although she is completely blind, she doesn’t let it stop her from living life to the fullest. Monet can do many of the same things that a typical kitten can do. She can easily find her litter box on her own, as well as her water and food. She is adventurous and loves to play, climb and wrestle with toys. Her favorite toys are the noisy ones – anything with bells, and rattles and crinkles! She loves to play with her ball tower and to climb her mini kitten tree to sleep in her favorite hammock. When playtime is over, she will happily snuggle with her humans for nap time. She loves attention and has an adorably loud purr.
However, some things are more challenging for her and will take some time for her to master. Due to these challenges we are looking for a very specific home for her. Monet needs a home were things are predictable, organized and relatively unchanging. She relies heavily on her other senses (hearing, smell, touch and taste). She loves following her humans around by listening for their footsteps. Monet has the most adorable habit of keeping her mouth open with just the tip of her tongue sticking out, we call it her “tasting the air” face.
Monet must be adopted to a home that already has a young, gentle and fun kitten playmate for her. She has a lot of energy and would love a kitty friend to play with and to snuggle with. A kitty she can follow around and learn from is a must. Bonus points if you are someone who has previous experience with blind kitties!
