Maya came to her foster family as one of six kittens from the North shelter. She is a very sweet and curious kitten who will explore all things new but when her human is near, she is an absolute lovebug and cannot get enough cuddles and pet time. She is extremely affectionate and will tell you she loves you the moment you come into sight by turning on her “purr” machine and give you an intense stare until she has captured all your attention. She has such expressive eyes that when she looks at you, she is irresistible and one cannot pass without stopping to have some playtime together.
She is by far the most affectionate of her littermates as she will beg to climb into your lap and follow you around wherever you go. Given the age of this kitten, she will not be adopted out alone (unless there is another cat of a similar age in the home). Because she is bonded with her sister (Raven), it would be ideal if she can be adopted out together with her. Very rarely do you see them not cuddling together when resting or sleeping and even playing. It would certainly ease the transition for both the kittens and humans in a new home. She absolutely enjoys her wet food but knows how to self regulate when dry kibble is left out all day. She came to her foster family when she was not yet weaned and therefore, she finds human touch all positive and nurturing as she was bottle fed around the clock for the first two weeks. She has been exposed to other cats in the foster home and understands her boundaries when the other cat is not in the mood to engage with her. She has also done very well with older children (teens).
This is one of those kitties who will win you over instantly because her heart will tug at yours as she showers you with unconditional love. She will stare into your eyes imploringly for attention and will surely be a great addition to any forever family!
