Love and Sylvester
Special Needs: Routine eye hygiene
Love and Sylvester became functionally blind when they were one month old and had surgery to restore their vision. Love’s surgery went well and her vision was restored. Sylvester had to have two eye surgeries but the surgeries were only partially successful and he remains blind in his right eye.
Love and Sylvester are extremely special kittens. They came from a litter of eight kittens that would have been euthanized at the shelter. They were brought home from the shelter by a KR foster. They were so sick that four of the siblings didn’t make it. Two of the siblings had perfect eyes and went on to homes. Love and Sylvester’s eyes were so bad they could not see at all until they recovered enough to have eye surgery in September.
They have counted on each other this whole time and didn’t let anything bother them. These are two of the most loving, sweet kittens you could hope to meet. Love the Calico is like a sprite, making little meowing sounds and running off to find adventures. Sylvester is more of the quiet, laid back type, preferring to sit on your lap and nuzzle your face. Even though he can see out of one eye, he still backs off the furniture and cat tree.
They both purr all the time and love to cuddle on your lap and play with a feather toy. They do need a special human who will pay them the attention they need. They have been much loved and spoiled and are now ready for a home of their own. Its been a long road to get where they are now and they are very hopeful and nice human will take them home together. They both know their names and come when they’re called.
