Freja
Even by the rough and tumble standards of a rescue cat, Freja has been through quite a lot. Rescued from a high kill shelter with half of her back leg missing, she has had two leg surgeries (one to try and save what was left of her wounded leg, and the other to amputate it when that didn’t work), major dental work to remove most of her teeth, and she is an FIP survivor (having successfully gone through treatment in early 2020). But all that is in her past, and she is plump, healthy and happy as can be, and ready for adoption.
Missing one of her back legs does not slow her down in the least. She can often be seen hopping around the house, chasing toys or playing with other cats. Her favorite thing in the world is having her left cheek scratched; since she can’t scratch it herself, do that a few times and you’ll have a fuzzy friend for life!
Freja is a little jumpy and somewhat unsure of strangers and new surroundings, so it’s reasonable to expect that she would take some time to adjust to a new adoptive home. She is well worth it; she is a snuggly, sweet lap cat who gives kisses and has whole conversations with people she is comfortable around. She is also a wonderful and nurturing cat companion, and particularly loves mellow and gentle boys.
