Eddie and Bergin
Eddie is an easy-going fellow who gets along with everyone and everyone gets along with him. He’s keen for some head scratches and a cuddle here and there, but is also fine off on his own. He loves meeting new people!
As you can perhaps see from the photos of him, he’s also a little bit of a goof-ball! From the way he falls asleep with his tongue sticking out, to his little pinkish-white belly pooch, he will make you chuckle!
Eddie would do fine with another kitten to wrestle with, but he’s put a great deal of work into the close friendship he has with his foster brother Bergin, who doesn’t mind that Eddie amushes him any time he walks through the house, so he would very much like to be adopted with him.
Bergin is a very special kitten! Despite his inauspicious beginnings, he is a dedicated lap cat. It’s typical for older feral kittens to be fixed and returned to where they were living, but Bergin decided right away that he liked the delicious food we had, the warm bedding we provided, and the cuddles we gave, so we fostered him and he has made it clear to us that the pampered life an indoor cat is what he was meant for! While sitting down for meals, Bergin likes to “lap surf” from one lap to the other. He is eager for cuddles and pets, and flops in your arms when picked up. If you want a buddy to cuddle with, Bergin is your guy!
Because of Bergin’s early days as a feral kitten, he will need extra time to settle into a new home and new people. He would do well in a house with a consistent group of people. He doesn’t need a quiet home exactly, just one where things are predictable. His new family will need to understand that it will take him a few days to warm up to any new humans. But, once he decides he likes a new person, he wants to cuddle with them all the time!
He would very much like to be adopted with his foster brother Eddie, whose persistent bids for friendship he has finally accepted. Eddie is a good match for Bergin because he is pretty much fearless which helps Bergin feel safe in new situations. They also really like cuddling and wrestling with each other!
