Cleopatra
This beautiful short hair tabby was found in a local cat colony by the foster. Cleo was left behind by renters years ago and shows signs of abuse, but she was still willing to open her heart.
Brave, quirky, cute, loving, and saucy, Cleo likes to play with her human and her toys. She enjoys cuddle time but is also independent. She’s affectionate, loves being pet, and will come sit next to you but don’t expect her to let you pick her up.
As a queen, she has to be the only cat in the home since she considers other cats and dogs unequal and beneath her. She’s vocal and loves good food and music ranging from Cubano to Opera and Classical Spanish Guitar.
She is relatively lower maintenance compared to some of the other cats under foster care. Cleo would thrive with an experienced cat adopter.
She has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). FIV is not a big deal; given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat, requiring direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissable to humans.
