Austin

Austin is a sweet and gentle guy who has been through hard times. He is a big kitty with a sensitive spirit. He exudes love for the people he gets to know.

He was found searching for food and shelter in Sherman Oaks. A Good Samaritan saw a man beating Austin with a broom in the bushes and intervened to protect him. The man said that he hates cats and wanted to scare him away. The witness got Austin vet care and found him a caring foster home.

He has a healed eye from an unknown prior injury that has left a permanent disfigurement. His scars tell his story. He is around 6 yrs old. We have done extensive testing at a great vet to determine his baseline health and happy to report he is in good health. We took him to a respected ophthalmologist who determined that his vision is perfect and the scaring of his eyelid was from a healed injury that could have resulted from abuse.

He needs someone to love him for who he is: a handsome, loving, Siamese mix kitty. He is initially timid because he doesn’t know what to expect from new people, but accepts kindness and affection. His vets and caregivers are impressed with his resilience and openness to trust people.

Austin needs someone who will take time to hold him and love him up everyday. He drinks up affection like water. He sinks in your arms and has an air of calm. Austin is an old soul and has impacted the lives of everyone who has met him. Team Austin! Austin is ready for adoption in LA.
