Athena
Athena showed up on our street several months ago. She was very shy and we thought she was feral, but after simply picking her up and putting her into a carrier, we discovered that she wasn’t. She’s very petite, so much so we thought she was a teenager. After a few days in isolation, and getting a negative result on her viral test, she began to relax and became very affectionate! She also is accepting of the other foster cats and kittens, plays with them and gets along very well with everyone. She’s interested in our little dogs, and while still living outside used to try to go for their walks with them!
Her calico coat is strongly colored and quite attractive. Her tail is malformed, only half there and curled up. The vet thought she was born that way. There’s a good chance that Athena is a Japanese Bobtail Cat. Check it out: https://allaboutcats.com/cat-breeds/japanese-bobtail. That would explain her unusual tail.
Athena would, with slow introductions, be fine with other cats or dogs, and would also be fine as an only cat.
