Volunteer Opportunities
Kitten Rescue operates solely on the time, energy, and dedication of our generous volunteers. In fact, Kitten Rescue couldn’t survive without the help of our volunteers! We have many volunteer opportunities and ways you can get involved. Training can be provided. If you have experience in any of the below areas — or would like to gain experience — we want you on our Kitten Rescue team!

General Volunteer Opportunities
The KR Sanctuary
Help care for the cats who live at the Sanctuary! A short orientation session will be provided for all new volunteers.
Kitten Nursery
Help us care for “bottle babies” and tiny orphaned kittens until they are ready for weaning. An orientation will be provided.
Kitten Adoption Center
Help us socialize and clean up after the kittens at our Adoption Center, and meet potential adopters during appointments.
Adoption Events
Help at our weekend adoption events, socialize the cats in the pet store enclosures, and speak to potential adopters.
Transportation
Got wheels? We always need help transporting cats to and from adoption events and vet appointments.
Parties & Events
KR hosts parties, larger-scale adoption events and fundraisers throughout the year. Help us plan, organize and host the big events.
Fundraising
Help us raise money for Kitten Rescue! Every dollar we raise keeps our cats healthy and allows us to save more animals.
Online Assistance
Some fosters do not have a computer. Help write bios of foster cats to post online and field emails from any potential adopters.
The KR Sanctuary Opportunities
With the Animals
Take a weekly shift to help care for the cats. Refresh water bowls, brush cats to keep them looking their best for adoptions, clean cages or litter boxes (a glamorous job!), or do laundry. Shuttle cats to vet visits. Be a Cat Cuddler and help socialize cats.
In the Office
Help out behind-the-scenes answering phone calls and emails, processing paperwork and doing data entry. Create posters, flyers and ads that get the word out. Snap cute photos and write clever bios for Sanctuary cats up for adoption.
In the Community
Become an Adoption Counselor to find FURever homes for our kitties. Spread the word about the Sanctuary to new volunteers. Prepare cats and supplies for adoption events, and help with cat transportation to events and appointments.
