At the Sanctuary, we have cats of all ages, breeds and personalities. We’d love the opportunity to help match you up with your ideal feline family addition.
Adoption Fees: $120 for one cat and $80 for a second cat. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, tested for leukemia and FIV, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas and microchipped prior to adoption.

Princess
My name is Princess! My favorite activity right now is sitting in the windowsill and watching the world outside. I am a special girl, I might seem a little shy at first - since my previous owners gave me up I’ve been shuffled from various fosters (due to my preference of being an only cat). But I really want my own family to love on me and a place to call home. Though it might take a little while for me to understand that you really love me, I know we can work something out! (DOB: 04/2003)

Camille
Camille was found in a Petco parking lot. She came running up to a KR volunteer, rubbed up against her, and looked up with her big saucer eyes. Camille is a talker and adores people. She loves to be petted and is a real lap cat - she'll jump onto any lap and purr away contentedly. Camille has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), but FIV is not a big deal so long as proper care is taken. She mingles freely with non-FIV cats; the disease is extremely difficult to transmit (it requires a deep bite wound) to other cats, and of course people cannot get it. (DOB: 09/2003)

Sweeney
Sweeney is an amazingly outgoing, playful and good natured boy who was rescued from the shelter the day he was scheduled to be put to sleep. He has an incredible personality - he'll follow you around like a dog, rub against you and flop for belly rubs. Sweeney is a smoke tuxedo. This means that he is like a regular tuxedo, except that instead of having black hair, he has a black tipped white undercoat. This plus an odd-shaped stubby tail gives him a very unique appearance. He'd be great with just about any other cat, or as an only. (DOB: 07/2005)

Nana
Nana and her brother Doinker (who has been adopted) were rescued from a high-kill shelter in the San Fernando Valley. Nana is still a little suspicious of people. If she is in a small closed room, she will be extremely sweet and affectionate - all purrs and nuzzles - but in a more open space she may run when approached. She absolutely loves other cats though and would make an excellent cat companion, as she is extremely gentle and playful. She is quite a looker, with large, soulful eyes and great legs (that is, one white, one striped). (DOB: 04/2004)

Gojira
Gojira is a big fluff ball of a cat, who is a little shy at first. But once he gets to know you he warms up nicely and is a very sweet natured boy. And we just know you won't be able to resist petting this soft kitty...his fur really is addicting. Gojira was rescued, along with his brother Mirin, from one of the Los Angeles shelters when his time was just about up. He adores his brother and would be grateful to be adopted with him. (DOB: 04/2004)

Mirin
Mirin is a soft, sleek kitty who is shy at first. But once he gets to know you he adores being petted and scratched, as he will tell you himself since this boy is a vocal kitty. He is very playful and likes to play with your hair while he hangs out on the back of your chair. Just like his brother (above), Mirin was rescued from the Los Angeles shelters just in the nick of time. He adores his brother, and would love to be adopted with him. Being adopted together will definitely help these kitties adjust to their new forever home. (DOB: 04/2004)

Trina
Trina is the sweetest, cuddliest, most compact little girl-kitty you'll ever meet! She especially likes curling up in her bed. She would make a wonderful addition to any family. She is really laid back and does just fine with other cats. She particularly enjoys spending time cuddling and eating, so don't expect her to be very demanding. (DOB: 2003)

Penelope

Penny Lane
Penelope is a stunning long hair calico. She has a sweet face and a gorgeous coat. Her daughter, Penny Lane, is a beautiful, petite calico short-hair who looks just like her mom. These wonderful girls are extremely loving and affectionate. They adore people and purr & purr when you pet them. Penelope and Penny like to play, sleep, or just be with you. They're very bonded and need to be adopted together. (DOB: Penelope 07/2003, Penny Lane 12/2004)

Iggy
Iggy is a sweet, talkative, lap cat who is a real favorite at the Sanctuary. She's one of the older kitties of the group, but she is quite playful for her age. Her favorite toy, which she goes bananas for, is a little laser pointer. Iggy does well with other cats, but she would probably do best cats who are past the playful kitten stage. (DOB: 1997)

Venus
Venus is a sweet, affectionate “goddess” kitty. She is one of the friendliest cats at the Sanctuary - greeting people as they come to visit and snuggling up to other cats that are willing to cuddle. Venus is quite playful and enjoys chasing around toys and the laser pointer. This wonderful girl was at the Sanctuary when we acquired it, so she's probably spent most of her life there. Adult cats have a harder time finding a home, please consider giving Venus a second chance at having one. (DOB: 07/1999)

Squeaker
Squeaker (calico-colored) is, without doubt, the most “cat-friendly” cat ever. She is constantly following other cats around and rubbing up against them. Squeaker is a real socializer! She earned her name by virtue of her dainty, high-pitched meow, which she utters as a greeting to people. She would be a fantastic addition to any house that has a cat that needs a gentle buddy. Squeaker is particularly bonded to her buddy Jasper, a medium-haired black and white cat with a very similar outgoing personality. They would be wonderful adopted together as a pair.

Jasper
Jasper is a real clown. First of all, he sports a mullet - I mean, we're in Los Angeles for crying out loud. He walks around rubbing up against other cats, or, when he's feeling rambunctious, mounting them. It's a dominance thing, so they say. Of course, Jasper has a very sweet side too. He loves being pet and brushed, and is an outgoing, all-around friendly guy. As you can see from the pictures, Jasper is very closely bonded with Squeaker. They would be a phenomenal pair to adopt together.

Dusty Rose
Dusty Rose is a very affectionate kitty who will nuzzle you and jump in your lap when she wants some attention. She's not crazy about being picked up (but a lot of kitties feel unsure about this). She's good with kids, but would be best as the only cat in the family. Dusty Rose is a long-time resident of the Sanctuary so, as much as we all love her and would miss her, we can't wait for the day when she has a forever home to call her own.

Bitsy
Bitsy (whose name doesn’t reflect his size) is a handsome, large, fluff-ball of a cat. With a rare and beautiful coat, it's easy to find yourself sitting for hours petting his luxurious fur. Bitsy loves attention and is often the first to greet you at the Sanctuary. Bitsy has lived with other cats for some time now and enjoys the company of playful kitties who bring out the kitten in him. He transforms into a whirling dervish of fur when he chases his favorite paper balls...flying across the room causing all the kitties to stare in amazement. Bitsy is truly a favorite of the volunteers at the Sanctuary. (DOB: 05/2002)

Hauser
Hauser is a bit of a rough and tumble boy who loves to play and wrestle with his kitty buddies. He also likes to be pet and cuddled and will purr to show he's content. Hauser came to the Sanctuary, along with a number of others cats, from a terrible situation in which he was being housed in a tiny space in extremely unsanitary conditions. But even though his start in life was rough, he is settling in very well. Due to his young age and playful nature, Hauser would do best in a home with another young kitty who likes to play rough. (DOB: 06/2004)

Carrie
Cat? Me? NO! I prefer to be referred to as the "Topic of Conversation". I'm an Agouti Abyssinian mix and my coat is remarkable. True, I'm a little overweight from being stuck at the shelter, but my New Year's Resolution is to get back in shape. All I need is a long hallway (my own personal "catwalk" if you will), a few toys and a lot of time! Before long, your friends will be begging to come over and see me. P.S. I'm a bit of a "diva" so I'm not into competition and as such would I'd prefer a home with no other cats or young children. (DOB: 02/2006)

Angie
My name is Angie and I'm a lovely little feline, don't you agree? I have medium length hair which delicately frames my angelic face. If you think I look sweet, just wait until you meet me! I love people and I'm great with other cats. My ideal home would be one where I'm allowed on the bed any time I want. I have a feeling I'd be spending a LOT of time there! (DOB: 05/2004)

Dee Dee
The Perfect Cat? Yep, it's true! I'm cute, I'll follow you around like a puppy and I love to be held like a baby. I'm obsessed with everyone, but I'm particularly boy-crazy. Are all you handsome gentlemen out there listening? I'm a single, long-haired beauty and I'm looking for love. How about you? (DOB: 2003)

Benny
Hello there! I'm Benny and I am a handsome little boy who loves to play! I'm great at scratching on my scratching post, particularly if you sprinkle a little catnip on it. Sometimes I can play a little rough, so it's probably not a good idea for me to be in a home with young children. However, I'd be fine with a brother or sister as long as your other kitties understand that I need to be the boss. I'm the alpha male, what can I say? (DOB: 06/2004)

Zoe
Zoe is a beautiful and sassy girl rescued at the 11th hour from the West Valley animal shelter, where she had been dumped by her prior owner. She is one of those cats who is utterly convinced that her rightful place is at the center of the universe. She has a strong personality, and is very sweet with people, but she doesn't appear to be all that fond of other cats and would be best as an 'only' cat. (DOB: 05/2002)

Persia
I am a young, gorgeous Maine Coon-mix kitty. I have a long, super fluffy coat of black and white fur. Despite my breathtaking looks and charm, my guardian abandoned me at the boarding facility I was staying at. She dropped me off, paid for me to stay one week, and never came back. That was months ago and now I’m just hoping that I meet a new family soon who will love me forever. I love to be carried and loved, and if you have another kitty or a doggy, that would be great, too! (DOB: 03/2006)

Meow Meow
If you're looking for a big lap cat, I'm your girl! Don't you just love my cute beauty marks? I've had a hard life, I really loved my daddy, but he abandoned me. Although I love the nice people at the Sanctuary, I'm kinda depressed because I miss having a home to call my own. I'm not a demanding kitty - all I want is warm bed to sleep on, someone to pet me and some good food. The only thing I ask is that you don't have any other cats. I want my new family all to myself! (DOB: 2003)

Sheridan
Sheridan and her siblings were found at a home in North Hollywood, so neglected that 2 of the 5 died. But look at her now! This sweet girl is a beautiful calico with front polydactyl (6-toe) paws. She wasn't sure about people at first, for good reason, but has made great progress. She loves to be petted & purrs when you give her attention and play with her. She also likes to play with the other kitties and would love a home with a playmate. (DOB: 08/2005)

Rudy
Rudy is a big, sweet kitty who loves to flop over for belly rubs and head-butts. Just check out that fluffy melon head of his! And you're in for a big surprise when he opens his mouth and lays a meow on you. His sweet little meow just doesn't fit his body, but it definitely fits his demeanor. So if you've always wanted a teddy-bear of a cat, Rudy is your boy. (DOB: 2003)

Snowball
Snowball is a big, friendly boy with a dog-like personality. He was rescued from the pound when he was younger, was adopted but then returned when his adopter fell on hard times. Snowball is a beautiful kitty with one blue and one yellow eye. He is very friendly and loves to be petted and combed. He has a strong personality and would be fine as an only cat, or could be a good companion for another cat with the right personality - someone who could put up with an alpha male like him. (DOB: 10/2003)

Katie
This beautiful, grey tabby/tuxedo girl has some serious catitude. As in “So when are you going to fetch me my dinner?” Katie is one of those outgoing, type-A personalities who fills the room with her presence. She is highly affectionate and can also be finicky and feisty. Katie would be absolutely fine as an only cat, or could live with other kitties of the right temperament. So long as she has a lap to sit on and someone to play with her, she'll be plenty happy, and so will you! (DOB: 02/2005)

Giuliani
I’m not just your average black cat! The first thing everyone notices about me is my eyes. I have HUGE golden eyes that are truly striking. Next you might notice the cute white patch between my two front legs. It’s rather adorable, if you ask me. I am very dignified and I want all of your attention to myself. A single cat household with a nice warm lap is just what I need. (DOB: 2003)

Mandy
This kitty is a rescue miracle. Someone abandoned Mandy in downtown LA years ago and she'd been living on the streets ever since. A few months ago a business owner saw her and called KR because he thought she might be pregnant. Mandy had 3 babies and only 1 lived. She was a wonderful mom and her little boy is doing well. Because of her history, Mandy is a little slow to warm up to people. Once she does however, this cat will be your friend for life. She adores being petted and will purr to show you how much she appreciates you. Mandy is a little vision-impaired because of her years of hardship, she but gets around a home quite well. (DOB: 04/1998)
