Peroni and his siblings, Guinness and Stella, were found as babies not far from CSUN. He is a very playful and curious little boy and gets along well with the other cats and dogs in his foster home. He would need a home with another animal (or even better, with one of his siblings) to be a playmate.
Peroni did initially test positive for FIV, but don’t let that scare you away from this loving boy. Even if his initial test is a true positive, he’s really no different than any other kitty.
He lives with many other cats and gets along well with them so he could be adopted into a home with other cats or as a single. Peroni may be FIV positive from his time on the street. Cats with FIV+ often gets passed over because people feel worried about the diagnosis. However, given proper care and attention, an FIV+ cat will live the same lifespan as an FIV negative cat. The disease is extremely hard to transmit from cat to cat and it requires direct blood contact (typically from a deep puncture wound). It is not transmissible to humans. Peroni would make your life complete…give this guy a chance!
